In pairs we each had $100 to go online and buy items to help a family that had been affected by the latest earthquakes. The scenario we used was:
- There are four people in the family and one cat, a mum, dad and two children (boy and girl)
- They had no water, sewage and phone lines are not working
- They have electricity
- It costs $5 to get it delivered, this needs to come off the $100
- They can not leave the area as the roads are still closed
The children went online and shopped at the warehouse and will present what they thought would be helpful purchases with the class.
